Nick Lenhart
When you think of powerlifting, your mind tends to imagine men of large stature lifting unimaginable weights above their heads and throwing them down to the ground. In reality, powerlifting is a very competitive and technical sport with a variety of weight classes. Nick Lenhart weighs in at the 132 lb. class and lifts what many men twice his weight wished they could.

"AlpineV allows me and other powerlifting
friends of mine to recover more quickly
from hard workouts, and it helps reduce inflammation in my joints
."
- Nick Lenhart, Champion Powerlifter

3 Technical Lifts
If you go into a gym to watch people working with weights, you may see the someone bench pressing impressive amounts with an arched back, on tipped toes and using a bouncing motion to get the weight up. Such a lift would disqualify your attempt in a powerlifting event.

The bench press must be performed with the rear touching the bench (and never leaving the bench), feet touching the ground, a steady letting down of the weight to the chest, waiting for one second, then a steady pressing of the weight (keeping both hands steady and in unison), waiting for another second, then putting the bar back on the rack.

The squat and dead lift are the other powerlifting lifts that much be completed with equal precision. A powerlifter in a particular weight class wins the event by tallying the largest score from the combined weight of all three lifts. Records can be broken with individual lifts or combined lifts.

4 New World Records!
In October of 2007, Nick competed in the AAU World Championships (a drug-free powerlifting association) and broke 4 world records. Nick created new records in the squat, bench, dead lift and total score. Nick proudly wore his AlpineV logo before, after and during the event (look just below his neck as he was breaking the world record in the dead lift - picture on right). His statistics are below:

AAU World Records

A Powerlifting Champion's View of AlpineV
Nick Lenhart has made AlpineV an integral part of his daily exercise and nutrition regimen, taking it before each workout. He attributes his dramatic reduction in joint pain and his quick recovery time after workouts to the nutrition in AlpineV.

"I noticed the effects of AlpineV right away. Since taking it I have noticed other athletes drinking it and recently read an article about AlpineV in my favorite powerlifting magazine. It gives me the edge I need as I compete with the best powerlifters in the world. "
